Buffalo Chicken Wing Dip

Growing up a Buffalo Bills fan, we’ve been through the good and bad for decades.

But one thing stays consistent year-to-year — the game day snacks. Bills fans own the tailgate and game day snack scene with some of the most impressive pre-game celebrations in the whole league.

Going back to my roots, here’s a fool-proof Buffalo Wing Dip recipe that is a huge crowd-pleaser — not to mention, the Bills beat the Patriots at home the Sunday I whipped this up. But I digress.

Ingredients:

3 cans of shredded chicken (white meat)

1 cup of blue cheese dressing (crumbly is a goo option)

1/4 cup of Frank’s Hot Sauce (the only kind you need)

8 ounces of cream cheese

2-3 cups of shredded cheese (cheddar jack or Mixed cheese works well here)

Wing Dip

To start, preheat your oven to 375 degrees — drain your shredded chicken and place is a side bowl. add the Frank’s Hot Sauce and evenly mix together.

In a saucepan on low heat, add pieces of the cream cheese (cut up so it will melt faster) and the blue cheese dressing. Mix evenly and be sure not to burn, no need to cook this through — we’re just melting and combing together.

Once melted, grab a baking dish (we used a loaf pan) and start the layering. In order — chicken, blue cheese, shredded cheese. Repeat this step until the loaf pan is full/you run our of ingredients.

You should save some extra shredded cheese for the top layer as well.

Here are some photos from the layering process — actually kind of fun to do.

Make sure your shredded chicken is the top layer of the dip and then pop in the oven for 25-30 minutes, until the cheese is melted and lightly toasted.

Melted, cheesy, Buffalo wing goodness — this is really too easy. Serve with veggies, tortilla chips, sliced baguettes and more. You can even serve over cut french bread for little bites. Best served warmed — after sitting about 10-15 minutes out of the oven. Enjoy!
